  1. Thank you Rein and everyone involved for all the time and dedication you’ve put into making this audiobook. Catching up and then following along as new chapters were released had been a highlight for me over the past few years, giving me something to enjoy during walks and other activities. It’s crazy to think that this labour of love has reached its conclusion.

Best wishes to Rein in your transition into professional audiobook narration.

  2. Rein and every volunteer that has helped to create the Worm and Ward audiobooks are real class S capes! This was a monumental task and I’m so glad I’ve gotten to experience these beautifully long and intricate stories like this! Especially as I have been going for walks, taking the bus, cooking meals and falling asleep.

My partner introduced me to Worm when I first started seeing him in 2020 and was flummoxed by just how I could stand to listen to, rather than read the story like he did. I told him I enjoy the different readers, the voices, the inflections, cadences, tones and dramatic performances!
I finished the Worm audiobook and caught up to where the Ward audiobook was up by the end of 2020 and then read the rest. When I had seen that the Ward Audiobook had been completed, I just knew I had to go through both stories again. It’s taken me 4 months and I am even more enthralled, impressed and in awe of both the story and the work it took to get this project done. This audiobook is a great service.

To Rein, Crispy, Torchide, Violet Legacy, NSPB, Tsukinokage, Samurai Buko, Genesis, Crideout, Meg Jacobs, Witty Notes, and so, so many others, you have my deepest thanks in perpetuity.

  3. Hello,
I was considering sending this as an email, but I think comments are preferred. I went through worm & ward starting in april 2025 and finished today. It was as much a part of my entire year as anything else could ever be. Every day I had a few chapters downloaded, and listen to in the car to/from work and during lunch. Listening through them also felt like a time capsule, since the first chapter of Worm was about 11 years ago, and the finally was 2022. I feel a bit of loss, knowing I wasn’t there for the weekly updates, the community gatherings, discussions of future plot points, or that I couldn’t volunteer myself for this amazing project. My world is different now, having spent 400 hours listening to this world unfold narrated by amazing voices. It is not the first, and most like not the last long form superhero content I’ll enjoy, but it will stick with me for a very, very long time.
So thank you, J.C. / Wildbow, Rein, Evan Witt, SamuraiBuko, the many cast of voices and editing, that song “Alley Cat” used for Worm, and anyone else who kept / keeps this series alive. ♥
